The Crofton Airshed Citizen's Group, a public working group, was formed
to investigate NorskeCanada Crofton mill's impacts on the environment
and public health. A Public Meeting was called by this
hastily-assembled group for January 20th, 2004 with regard to the
company's plans to burn 'alternative' fuels in power boiler #4.
Alternative fuels included old railroad ties and tires. More than
500 people attended.

At LAST!! - the eventful day when the experts meet, and share their knowledge of how to do proper air and health studies with the public.
Thursday, May 19 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm at the Crofton Community Centre.
At a special meeting of the NorskeCanada Crofton Community Advisory Forum, all the air quality experts have been brought together on this particularly flawed air pollutions and health impacts study "under one tent".
