Alternative Fuels Proposal is Dead |

There will be no burning of tires, ties, or coal at Crofton!!!
The Alternate Fuels Trial Proposal has officially been withdrawn,
Crofton Mill Manager V.P. Don McKendrick announced at Tuesday's
Community Advisory Forum held in Crofton Tuesday February 8th, citing
earlier public outcry and reduced economic benefit - seems due to
proficient management these old mills are turning a profit and won't go
broke after all. Hurray!
And new monitoring equipment has been added to the ambient air
trailers, soon to be giving us real-time ambient air quality indexes at
the BC Govt Web site:
